Central Division has rough day on greens

Max Cavender was the only member of Central's team to manage a win on Day 3 of the U.S. Lawn Bowling Championships in Seattle. Cavender can still earn a silver medal with a win in his last game tomorrow. Although losing both games today the women's pairs team has an outside chance at gold, but they will need to win tomorrow and hope the leaders falter in their final game. The men's pairs team of Landgren and Nelson played out the theme of the Achebe novel "Things Fall Apart" and lost hope of any medal with their two losses on Day 3. Charlene Harmon also lost both games.Game 1 vs Pacific Inter-MountainCavender 21-20 W; Harmon 9-21 LWitt/Mather 11-17 L; Landgren/Nelson 15-18 LGame 2 vs Southwest StripesCavender 12-21 L; Harmon 3-21 LWitt/Mather 10-16 L; Landgren/Nelson 4-37 L
