Cincy brothers impress at Central Division Open Pairs

In just their third month of bowling, Cincinnati (OH) brothers Jimmie and Jeff Wolterman (pictured left to right) made a strong showing at the Central Division Open Pairs tournament held in Milwaukee (WI) July 13-14. Placing third among five teams, the Wolterman brothers finished with a 2-2 record in their first tournament outside their home club, the Cincinnati LBC. The 30-something duo comes to bowls with competitive athletic backgrounds--Jimmie in collegiate volleyball and Jeff in baseball.

The brothers got interested in the game after Jeff moved home to Cincinnati from southern California where he had participated in a couple of corporate events at the Santa Monica LBC, and they sought out a sport to compete in together. The Wolterman's intend to play in the Central Division Pairs Playdowns in August. They say they have a three-year plan to get to the top, but don't be surprised if they get there much sooner.
