Pairs teams Schneider-Behncke and Witt-Nguyen advance to US Championships

The Central Division will again be well represented at the US Championships in October in Arcadia, California. Skip Bob Schneider and lead Rob Behncke won the men's pairs title in a playoff against Max Cavender and father Jim Cavender. Cincinnati newcomers, brothers Jimmy and Jeff Wolterman, continue to impress in their first year of bowling by finishing four in the field of six teams and were the only ones to blemish Schneider and Behncke record over the weekend.

On the women's side, Anna Witt has teamed up this year with second year bowler, Rebecca Nguyen, to represent Central in the pairs event at this year's championships. Schneider and Witt are very familiar with the US championships, but this will be Behncke's and Nguyen's first time to represent the Central Division at the nation's premier lawn bowls tournament.
