Not since 1977 has a Central Division women's pairs team won a title at the U.S. National Championships. That is, until skip Anna Witt and second year lead Rebecca Nguyen claimed gold at the recently completed 2013 Championshiops held at the Santa Anita Green Bowling Club. Finishing with a record of 6-1, the Milwaukee Wisconsin lawn bowlers, Witt and Nguyen, bested a field of eight women's teams from all regions of the country.

In the men's division, veteran skip Bob Schneider and Rob Behncke came home with a silver medal with a 5-2 record. Singles representative, Steve Nelson, finished in third place with a 4-3 record after starting at 0-3. Women's singles representative, Pat Wimmer, competed strongly but was not able to gain a victory.
