Bob Schneider and Charlene Harmon win Central singles playdowns

Central Division's representatives for the US National Championships are now set with the addition of the singles winners.Bob Schneider beat Steve Nelson in a playoff to claim the men's title. The game was knotted at 10-10 before Schneider took command on his way to earning a berth in the Championships. Six men competed in the two day event.In the women's division, Charlene Harmon beat first-year bowler Rebecca Nguyen to advance. (A photo of Charlene was not available.)Schneider and Harmon will join Central's pairs champions, Max Cavender/Jim Cavender and Anna Witt/Glorianne Mather, at the US National Championships October 24-28 in San Diego.
