Central Division represented at World Bowls Championships

Central Division's Steve Nelson from Milwaukee Lake Park LBC is on the five man squad representing USA at the World Bowls Championships in Adelaide Australia, the premier lawn bowls event that is held every four years. Competition runs from November 24 to December 9. Nelson will compete in singles and lead in triples.The five-man squad includes captain Loren Dion, Neil Furman, Bill Brault and Aaron Zangl, all from southern California, in addition to Nelson. Phil Luth is the men's manager.  Aussie coach, Kelli Wray, has been working with the men to prepare them to compete against lawn bowls elite teams.  Five women are also representing USA in the disciplines of singles, pairs, triples and fours.Results and news of the competition can be followed at www.worldbowls2012.com.
