breaking-news(3)While a few division members have been active in gentler climes over the winter, most of us have been polishing our bowls in eager anticipation of warmer weather.First out of the gate is the Cincinnati Lawnbowling Club which held their  Open House on May 7.  Cincinnati invites any bowlers who are in the area to participate in club games.  Their regular schedule for open bowling is:  7PM on Tuesday and Thursday, 10AM on Saturday,  and 4PM on the third Sunday of each month.  They also hold a member's tournament on the first Saturday of every month which is also open to experienced non-members.The Cincinnati green is located 3111 Newtown Rd., Cincinnati Ohio.  It is in the Little Miami Golf Center and is a part of  Great Parks of Hamilton County, www.greatparks.org  The club website is www.lawnbowling.org .Milwaukee Lake Park kicks off 2016 with a Spring Meeting on May 21.  This is followed by the Blind Pairs on May 28 in which experienced bowlers team up with newcomers.  Leads and skips change for each game so it makes for a great way to meet fellow members and have a fun day of fairly noncompetitive competition.  An Open House follows on May 29.  The club website is www.milwaukeelawnbowls.com .
